Are you passionate about teaching the game of soccer? Do you enjoy working with kids of all ages and abilities? We are growing again and are currently looking for Coaches for our growing club of more than 800 players. The successful candidate will embrace our club philosophy and work closely with our players to develop their technical skills, instill a strong understanding of the game, and cultivate a positive and supportive team environment. Staff Coaches are assigned to teams annually and report to our Director(s) of Coaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- USSF 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11 Grassroots License to D License
- Two years of experience teaching soccer Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage 2-3 trainings per week during the season (generally about late August to early November in fall, and late March to early June in spring), depending on the team’s level.
- Travel to games and tournaments in either the greater Dane County area or statewide, depending on the team’s level.
- Willingness to work within our club's playing philosophy and Player Development Model.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate training drills and activities that cater to the needs of young athletes.
- Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their technique and understanding of the game.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate training schedules, games, and tournaments.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club officials regarding team activities, expectations, and player progress.
- Act as a positive role model for players, demonstrating sportsmanship, integrity, and respect at all times.
- Must pass a background check and complete SafeSport training annually.
Compensation
We offer competitive pay in line with other clubs in our region. All ranges depend on the candidate’s level of licensing, experience, retention incentives, and the level of the team(s) assigned.
- 9U/10U Teams: $2,000 - $3,000
- 11U-15U Teams: $4,000-$7,000 o MAYSA league: $4,000-$6,000 o State League and higher: $6,000-$7,000
- 16U-19U (High School Age, single season) Teams: $2,000-$3,500 o MAYSA league: $2,000 - $3,000 o State League and higher: $3,000-$3,500
