Staffing Coordinator

What you will do in this role:
- Prepares regular staffing schedules for nursing staff and posts the schedule no less than two weeks before the start of the schedule.
- Serves as the central contact person for the nursing department for call-offs, schedule changes, and PTO scheduling.
- Ensures coverage for both planned and unplanned schedule changes. Notifies appropriate management of discrepancies in staffing in a timely manner.
- Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime.
- Enters schedules/schedule changes into the payroll system
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree - Preferred
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
One year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a behavioral health hospital or other hospital setting
