Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are stocked, organized, and readily available for customers in a retail or warehouse environment. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Responsibilities
- Stock shelves with merchandise in an organized manner, ensuring products are easily accessible to customers.
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and replenishing as needed.
- Clean and organize the stockroom and sales floor to create a welcoming shopping environment.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding product availability and location within the store.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist in inventory management and product placement strategies.
- Operate forklifts safely when necessary to move larger items or pallets within the warehouse or store.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with diverse customer groups.
- Basic knowledge of retail math is beneficial for managing inventory effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Forklift certification is a plus; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas.
