SOFT's client located in Hicksville, NY (hybrid) is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a long term contract assignment.
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support our clients in the electric sector. The successful candidate will work within pre-established category sourcing strategies to create project-specific go-to-market plans. This position requires strong negotiation skills to minimize risk and maximize benefits in line with business tolerances and procurement best practices. The role also demands effective communication with stakeholders at both project and executive levels, as well as the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables simultaneously
What you will Do?
- Interpret terms and conditions, understand commercial impacts, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Negotiate with suppliers to minimize risk and maximize benefits in line with procurement best practices
- Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders at project and executive levels
- Manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables and delegate tasks to project teams
Your Skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Ariba for effective project management
- Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, ability to learn quickly, and work cross functionally in a team environment
- Ability to develop strategic sourcing approaches for complex electric services projects
- Strong negotiation skills to minimize risk and maximize benefits
- Effective communication skills with stakeholders at various levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
