What We Are Looking For

The Student Conduct Administration Data Specialist and Legal Associate serves within the Division of Student Life in the Student Conduct Administration department and reports to the Student Conduct Administration Legal Associate and Office Manager. This position processes all reports alleging violations of the Student Conduct Code and Honor Code which includes extensive work within the Conduct Database (Maxient). Additionally, the position works closely with the Student Conduct Officers and the Director for the Office of Academic Integrity (OAI). This position works with students, staff, faculty, parents, government agents, and other constituents and handles correspondence with students as directed by the Office Manager, Conduct Officers, or OAI Director.

A high school diploma and one year of relevant work experience is required.

A Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant work experience is preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Process all incoming Student Conduct Code and Honor Code reports, including conduct-related police reports
  • Manage the Maxient database system for Student Conduct Code and Honor Code violations
  • Utilize the University's student database systems such as Banner, Unified Advising System, Navigate, and other student information platforms
  • Collaborate with campus partners and external law enforcement agencies
  • Manage all incoming phone calls
  • Oversee the opening and closing of the office, ensuring all interior doors are secured at the end of the day
  • Welcome and assists office visitors
  • Correspond with students
  • Support Student Conduct Officers and the Office of Academic Integrity Director
  • Assist in gathering additional information for reported violations
  • Run audits and analytic reports
  • Assist with conducts records checks for the department
  • Assist with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) requests
  • Assist with reviewing and processing of incoming sanctions and the placement of Banner registration holds
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
