How You Will Make an Impact

The Student Outreach Technician will be responsible for monitoring activities of the Student Outreach Support Center. This position will support the Student Outreach Department with various tasks toward the goal of student retention and enrollment growth. This position reports to the Student Outreach Manager or designee.

  • Assist with work assignments delegated to Student Outreach Support Center personnel to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency of call center processes.
  • Assist management with the Student Mentor Program.
  • Collect, enter, and review data related to student demographics, student attendance, call center efficiency, and marketing efforts.
  • Generate reports, graphs, and spreadsheets regarding marketing and enrollment efforts and progress.
  • Maintain the database for the Communities Commitment Program.
  • Maintain a current and accurate list of phone numbers companywide to ensure marketing materials have the proper information.
  • Assist Student Outreach Support Center personnel on Call Center protocols and software.
  • Assist with resolving telephone call grievances.
  • Collaborate with school site personnel, School Administration, and other Departments.
  • Attend staff meetings and related events as assigned.
  • Adhere to attendance policies as assigned.
  • Perform administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned. These may be changed or modified from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read, understand information, and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Ability to meet schedules and timelines.
  • Ability to work in team environments and with multiple levels of personnel.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a particular order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform data entry and maintain records correctly.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma / General Education Diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of clerical and administrative experience in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Experience in school admissions or student information systems a plus.
  • Marketing or sales experience a plus.
  • Strong Customer Service skills and presentation.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications.
  • Ability to travel in the performance of job duties is required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mental Demands: low workflow management, low project coordination, low people engagement.
  • Finger Dexterity: primarily using the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
  • Talking: especially where one must accurately, loudly, or quickly convey detailed or important instructions or ideas.
  • Average Hearing: able to hear average conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents operate office equipment.
  • Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious exacting work required.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Working in a low to moderate noise environment with frequent deadline pressures.
