We are seeking a responsible, flexible, and compassionate Substitute Teacher to oversee classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. The ideal candidate will be able to manage classrooms effectively, follow lesson plans, and ensure a positive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Deliver lesson plans provided by the absent teacher or develop plans when necessary.
· Maintain classroom order and manage student behavior using appropriate strategies.
· Provide instruction that meets the learning needs of students.
· Monitor student progress and ensure student safety at all times.
· Follow school procedures, policies, and daily schedules.
· Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and parents (as necessary).
· Leave notes or reports for the regular teacher regarding the day’s activities and any student issues.
· Uphold professional and ethical standards in all interactions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred).
· Previous experience in classical education is preferred, but not required.
· Commitment to model moral character in line with the school’s core virtues and the pursuit of the Good, True, and Beautiful.
· Possess exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to and experience in engaging the interest and wonder of school-age children.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member.
· Demonstrates a commitment to continued personal and professional growth, and a commitment to model wonder, curiosity, and a passion for lifelong learning.
· Must clear a current background check through the BCI/FBI.
