Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in guiding individuals through various challenges, particularly in settings involving children and families. At Stepping Stone, we know problems exist. We work with individuals and families to overcome obstacles that inhibit them from living freely in peace. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral health, crisis management, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients. The Facilitator will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure effective support and intervention.
Duties
- Facilitate group sessions and individual meetings to address client needs and promote personal growth.
- Implement conflict management strategies to resolve disputes and foster a positive environment.
- Provide crisis intervention services to individuals in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with child protective services and other agencies to support families in need.
- Assist clients with disabilities by developing tailored support plans that enhance their quality of life.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement and commitment to change.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and outcomes.
- Offer guidance in childcare practices for families facing challenges in parenting.
- Stay informed about resources available for children experiencing behavioral health issues.
Skills
- Strong conflict management skills to effectively navigate challenging situations.
- Knowledge of child protective services and the ability to work within these frameworks.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Background in childcare or related fields, showcasing an ability to connect with children.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles and practices.
- Experience working with children, ensuring a supportive approach tailored to their needs.
- Competence in motivational interviewing methods to inspire positive change.
- A background in social work is preferred but not mandatory.
