Distinguishing Features

The primary focus of this position includes assessment, design and/or conducting training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance.

The Talent & Development Consultant is responsible for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of employees, leaders and the organization through: assessing the training needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating training activities for employees; providing system-wide application of behavioral science knowledge in the planned development, improvement, and reinforcement of the strategies that lead to organizational effectiveness. Provides coaching and consultative services to organization, group, and individual levels.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills as well as organizational and project management skills. This person should be able to demonstrate proficiency in training and development principles and practice, analytical skills, and facilitation skills.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources specializing in Talent and Development, Organizational Development, Education, Sociology, Psychology, or Business or related field required.

At least four years of experience related to adult education in developing curricula, presentation skills, coaching, data analysis, and management required.

Valid drivers license required.

Preferences include:
Previous experience in instructional design and teaching adult learners;
Previous experience developing and designing training curriculum


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develops and deliver training programs and team building activities.

Develops and delivers both traditional classroom and online training using research, subject matter experts, or other knowledge sources to create effective original training programs customized to meet the specific needs of the organization on a wide variety of topics.

Evaluate and identify opportunities and methods to enhance e-learning and Learning Management System (LMS) programs and processes.

Identifies meaningful ways to measure the effectiveness of various training solutions provided to the organization.

Assists with managing the training equipment, training budget and supplies.
Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.

Utilizes a variety of adult learning methods to train and develop staff

Lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally 10 lbs frequently or negligible amounts constantly, requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
