Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of personal and business income tax rules, as well as experience with preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Duties
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze financial documents to determine tax liabilities and deductions.
- Utilize accounting software and tools, including QuickBooks, to manage client accounts effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Experience in public accounting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience in public accounting is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
