Overview
We are looking for a reliable team member to work with all ages. We can be flexible for college students and will work with you to find a schedule that works for everyone. This will be a position that closes so you will be scheduled until 5:30 or 6 pm. We are hiring immediately and are looking for a fun energetic person who loves children and wants to be part of a very happy and engaged team. We have been in the Cedar Valley for 55 years and would love to have you join us
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in classroom and taking initiative to be a great helper
- Support the educational needs of toddler through school age aged children (oldest is 10) through engaging activities and individualized attention.
- Help teacher conduct a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Experience in school or daycare settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Knowledge of literacy education techniques for young learners.
- Experience in teaching physical education or related activities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on collaboration with staff, parents, and children.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in Early Childhood Education or related fields are advantageous.
