It is the responsibility of the Technical Business Development Manager – Filter Systems to drive Filter Systems sales at OEM accounts with an emphasis on Mobile accounts, through innovative sales programs and when required multi-channel distribution. The individual will be responsible for developing serial production opportunities and increasing the aftermarket share for the Filter Systems product line. The position will require interaction with various internal departments we well as with outside contacts.
Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop serial production opportunities and increase the aftermarket sales for the Filter Systems Product line while also increasing the Company’s visibility and enhancing its image at target OEM accounts.
- Develop a complete understanding of the filter systems/fluid conditioning product offering as well as marketplace, its competitors, and the associated products and pricing.
- Develop a complete understanding of the customer systems requirements for the product line, both for the Company, competitors and the associated pricing.
- Recommend product line enhancements and new products necessary to profitability in order to grow the Company’s Filter Systems sales.
- Drive discussions with our customer/channel partners in collaboration with the Schroeder Industries Filter Systems team, Group Product Manager and sales team.
- Collaborate with multiple team members to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during the pre-sales process.
- Understand customer requirements and develop system/product requirements and design/select product solutions accordingly.
- Support existing relationships with our traditional distributors, Regional Sales Managers and Direct Market Sales Managers.
- Build relationships with our customer’s engineers and engineering management teams.
- Document customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions in our supporting databases.
- Analyze and supply market data to the Company and record the detail in the company CRM system.
- Support, recommend, guide, direct and/or implement strategies to meet the sales objectives set by the Company.
- Prioritize, schedule, budget and complete project goals as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Minimum of a two-year Technical degree is required. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales or Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience or combination of education and experience is required.
- Knowledge of fluid power is preferred.
- Experience with technical service is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience in the fluid power industry is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses
- Certified Fluid Power – Hydraulic Specialist certification preferred. A willingness to obtain certification is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- A valid passport is preferred.
