Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and a customer-first attitude
- Experience in a customer service or technical support role
- Ability to collate and interpret data from various sources
- Ability to assess faults, prioritise, respond, and escalate appropriately
- A proven track record in a Network Operations Centre, IT, or ISP support environment is an advantage
- Experience with monitoring tools and protocols such as ICMP and SNMP is an advantage
- Strong network or unified communications diagnostic skills are an advantage
- Firewall support experience is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of the OSI Model, switching, and routing technologies is an advantage
- Basic understanding of network monitoring concepts and management tools is an advantage
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and provide satisfactory references; an offer is subject to completion of a BPSS check
- Ability to reliably commute to Newark-on-Trent for this in-person role
Responsibilities
- Provide network and unified communications support services to our customers
- Develop skills, knowledge, and experience across technologies including SD-WAN and cloud unified communications platforms
- Work in a multi-vendor network support environment, including Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and Juniper
- Triage and investigate incidents, managing them through to resolution
- Work with our connectivity partners to resolve customer issues while maintaining ownership of the customer experience
- Support co-location customer solutions within our data centre
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing support for managed network and unified communications services

We are Digital Space, a UK provider of managed IT services across connectivity, cloud and hosting, unified communications, security, and IT support. Our service hubs in Newark and Telford support customers across hospitality, retail, government, manufacturing, and finance. This full-time, permanent role is based in person at our purpose-built Network Operations Centre and Data Centre facility in Newark, as part of our Network and Unified Communications technical support team. The average working week is 38.5 hours, on a four-on, four-off shift pattern covering days (7am–7pm) and nights (7pm–7am). Salary is £26,926.90 per year, plus a £3,000 shift allowance.
