Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description
Wage: $17-$19/hour
Shift: Full time. Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays and holidays.

Summary: We are looking for a hard-working and dedicated facilities/maintenance technician to join our Thanksgiving Point Facilities Team at one of the most unique and exciting places to work in Utah. The individual in this role will be responsible for performing assigned repairs, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, occasional installations, or renovations on all Thanksgiving Point Institute building systems and infrastructure to ensure safety, functionality, code compliance and maintain aesthetic appeal. Candidates should have considerable experience in maintenance and construction, preferably in two or more trades. Some experience in plumbing and light electrical work is preferred. Technician should take the approach of viewing the property with the eye of a customer.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems in safe and correct ways.
Maintain a safe and productive work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and through reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to immediate supervisor.
Engage in department processes designed to keep work flowing in a cost-effective manner.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System/work order system (CMMS), using mobile phone, to perform work, record work history, identify parts usage, and identify warranties in a timely and effective manner.
Provide solutions when work volume is high, and staff is spread thin.
Sometimes assist with event setup for large private and public events, where heavy lifting, tools or heavy equipment are required.
Work safely and tell management about dirty or harmful working conditions and unsafe practices.
Report all work-related safety incidences, including near misses.
Professional at all times.
Tell management when tools and supplies are required for performing repairs when they are unavailable or broken.

Requirements:
Experience with and ability to use a large variety of power tools and hand tools.
2 to 3 years? experience in maintenance/construction.
Critical-thinker, independent worker, problem-solver, and ability to follow instructions.
A strong desire and willingness to learn and work well with others.
Organized- able to prioritize work orders, manage time effectively and manage inventory of tools and materials.
Able to correctly source compatible parts and materials.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, and stand for long amounts of time.
Maintain clean, professional image, communication and demeanor at all times in work interactions, whether with co-workers, internal customers or patrons.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Trade school and/or apprenticeship preferred.
Must hold valid driver?s license with clean driving record.
Must pass background check.
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check to drive for work.
