Position Summary:
The Fire Alarm Installer is responsible for the installation, termination, and testing of fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities in accordance with NFPA 72, local codes, and company standards. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install fire alarm system components including panels, pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, horn/strobes, relays, and other related devices.
- Terminate and label fire alarm wiring in accordance with system diagrams and electrical codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and system design drawings.
- Assist in system programming and perform functional testing of completed systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues found during installation or as reported by project managers.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, contractors, and customers on job status and issues.
- Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and code compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of installation and testing for closeout documentation.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of job site.
- Participate in safety meetings and comply with all company and site-specific safety protocols.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
