Kett Engineering is currently seeking a local driver to join our team for a part-time role in Farmington Hills, MI. The driver will play a crucial part in supporting our vehicle testing program by providing data collection and documentation necessary for the success of the project.
This position offers on-hand training, so prior experience is not required.
Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday, weekly changing between 1st and 2nd shift. Must be flexible and available to work both for the duration of the project.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Drive on designated local routes while performing test procedures for data collection.
- Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving and designated special tests.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, following verbal cues for resolution.
- Document all findings accurately in reports.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures while operating vehicles.
- Assist with general office tasks, including packing evaluation kits for shipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hold a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years.
- Maintain a clean driving record with no major citations or accidents for the past three years (no DUI or DWI).
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Must be tech savvy with some IT background.
- Must be able to follow verbal cues for technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to follow and operate GPS.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Ability to drive for prolonged periods of time comfortably and without issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document findings.
- Must be comfortable and experienced driving in inclement weather.
- Follow directions and execute tasks efficiently.
- Must be reliable and maintain good attendance.
- Available for a flexible work schedule.
