Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our construction or remodeling team. The Tile Installer is responsible for laying and installing various types of tile and stone surfaces, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship, precision, and durability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled using measuring tools and layout techniques.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying waterproofing or adhesives as required.
- Cut, shape, and fit tiles using hand tools or tile-cutting equipment (wet saws, nippers, etc.).
- Lay tiles in planned patterns or designs with consistent spacing and alignment.
- Grout, seal, and clean finished tile surfaces.
- Repair or replace broken or chipped tiles as needed.
- Collaborate with general contractors, designers, and homeowners to meet project specifications.
- Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and timely completion of tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a tile installer or similar role in construction/remodeling.
- Proficiency with tile-cutting tools, adhesives, grouts, and layout techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both residential projects
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
