DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
- Job Title: Tool Assembly & Layup Technician
- Location: NW Houston
- Pay: $16-$19/hr
- Hours: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm
- Duration: Temp-to-Hire
- Description of Duties: This position involves performing layup operations for inflatable and swellable packers using hand tools and overhead cranes, following detailed specifications, engineering drawings, and production schedules. The operator will track labor electronically, maintain material inventory, and contribute to quality control documentation within ISO 9001 guidelines.
- Requirements: Candidates must have either a technical school certificate or at least five years of relevant experience, the ability to read and interpret documents and drawings, and familiarity with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and hand-held measuring tools. The role requires physical stamina, mathematical skills, problem-solving ability, and a safety-first mindset in a manufacturing environment.
