As a Tool Room employee, your primary responsibility is to oversee the activities and operations of the tool room within a manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for ensuring that the tool room functions efficiently and effectively to support production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Team requirement:

Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of tools, fixtures, and other equipment used in the production process.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with production to ensure timely availability of required tools and equipment.
Tool Room Operations:
- Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, maintaining accurate records and conducting regular stock checks.
- Coordinate tool and equipment procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluation, and vendor management.
- Monitor tool room metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate tool room processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize tool room efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
- Proven experience in tool room operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of tools, dies, and fixtures used in production processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing tools and equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to tool room operations.
