Elevate Patient Financial Solutions, formerly RevClaims, has an excellent career opportunity available as a Supervisor for the Third-Party Liability Team to work in a remote-based role.
The schedule for this full-time role is Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of this position is to manage employees and operations in the assigned region or department. With the support of the TPL Director, the Director of Operations, and any involved Regional Directors, the TPL Supervisor should act to supervise employees and manage their work flow by defining and reinforcing company standards and regionally or departmentally unique work systems, so as to best serve the client hospital and the patient.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with client hospitals to maintain operational flow and to anticipate and react to changes led by the client, the TPL Director, the company or by the industry in general.
- Supports the staff that works directly with the client to allow for quicker and pertinent operational improvements.
- Coordinate efforts with other TPL Supervisors and Supervisors in other regions or departments to establish processes, provide staff training, and appropriately manage the distribution of referrals.
- Maintain consistent and appropriate communications to the TPL Director.
- Be responsive and supportive of the mission, goals, directives and policies of Outreach Services.
- Performing Advocate audits
- Performing Advocate 90-day and annual reviews and evaluations
- Managing Advocate work schedules, i.e. time off requests, absences, timesheets, etc.
- Managing distribution of work and balancing caseloads
- Assisting in hiring process for new Advocate staff
- Training or coordinating training for new Advocate staff
- Providing regular, objective feedback to Advocates
- Providing disciplinary action as appropriate, and as approved by the TPL Director and Human Resources Director
- Develop and maintain effective and efficient processes based on the client’s needs and Outreach Services’ best practices.
- Ensure processes are adhered to by Advocate staff and, when applicable, coordinates with appropriate Administrative staff to ensure administrative tasks are performed to the client’s expectations.
- Responds to all client questions and concerns and maintain regular contact with client liaisons and regularly review Advocate work to ensure client expectations are being met.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of TPL knowledge including recognizing payer priority and secondary payer rules
- Comprehensive understanding of working with all payer types
- Comprehensive understanding of systems, including Optima and hospital systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High commitment to customer service to our internal and external clients.
- Willingness to problem-solve creatively
- Dependable and highly detailed individual with strong organizational skills
- Comfort with speaking in front of large groups
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Remote and Hybrid positions require a home internet connection that meets the company’s upload and download speed criteria.
