Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has an exciting career opportunity available as a/an TPL Team Lead This position will be remote based. The Full Time schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday: 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Job Summary
The TPL Team Lead is responsible for investigating, facilitating and coordinating benefits for accident claims from auto, home, or other liability insurance policies. The TPL Team Lead is responsible for answering questions from the TPL Claims Representatives and Specialists as needed, as well as training new members of the department. Team Leads will periodically be asked to step in and assist the Supervisor with special projects and reports that would normally be handled by the supervisor. Team Leads will work to learn some aspects of the Supervisor position to provide backup when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and billing claims from billing software
  • Meeting deadlines and completing assigned tasks timely and efficiently.
  • Mailing and faxing documents needed to obtain payment on behalf of our client
  • Heavy phone work and system updating. Will be responsible for working off of multiple systems and multitasking.
  • Contacting patients, accident insurance adjustors, attorneys, etc. and ensuring all processes and procedures are followed to obtain payment on behalf of our clients
  • Reviewing and posting payments received accordingly
  • Researching and updating claim status in all systems, with clear and concise documented efforts
  • Using investigative skills and analytical thinking to determine the potential payer sources for an accident-related account
  • Mailing, faxing and/or couriering documents needed to obtain payment on behalf of our client Assisting with questions or concerns from account reps, patients, attorneys, etc. in the supervisor’s absence or unavailability.
  • Monitoring consistency of placements and returns on a project level.
  • Coaching and following up with rep level employees to ensure proper documentation and account flow.
  • Demonstrating an accurate sense of urgency when escalating issues, questions, concerns, etc.
  • Assisting in high level account work, cash push, payment posting, etc.
  • Return reports and out of office assistance as needed.
  • Posting payments/adjustments on a consistent and timely basis
  • Daily management of client driven work queues and workstations, including ensuring all claims are updated and/or billed timely
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Biller/Coder
  • Preferred: 1-5 years' experience in hospital billing experience
  • Experience with Claim Administrator/Emdeon a HUGE PLUS++!!
  • Computer savvy, 40 wpm minimum, 10-key by touch, Microsoft Office, internet and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including dealing with patients, clients, insurance companies, etc.
  • Strong phone etiquette
  • Must be adaptable to fast paced environment, and always project professionalism and expertise
  • Dependable and self-starter
  • Must be prompt and presentable
  • Remote and Hybrid positions require a home internet connection that meets the company’s upload and download speed criteria.
