TPWD MISSION
To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for developing, implementing and tracking the effectiveness of multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive revenue and/or increase awareness of Texas Parks and Wildlife programs, specifically Conservation License Plates, Big Time Texas Hunts, Toyota ShareLunker program, Shooting Sports and hunting/fishing license sales.
Under the direction of the Communication division’s Sr. Marketing Manager this position performs complex (journey-level) marketing work and is responsible for helping develop and implement complex, time-sensitive marketing campaigns and communication efforts for various TPWD programs and initiatives. Project manages assigned projects, working closely with internal clients and other staff in fisheries, wildlife or state parks divisions. Responsible for writing copy, tracking and evaluating results and ensuring projects run on time and on budget. Coordinates with external ad agencies and related vendors (as needed) on paid marketing campaigns. Works closely with TPWD’s creative/interactive services ‘ on internal communication deliverables, such as web content, print materials and graphics. Provides input on marketing efforts and assists with the development of marketing plans and business plans to complement statewide goals. Performs additional duties as assigned. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree.
Experience:
Six years professional experience in marketing-related work, such as advertising account management or brand management.
Licensure:
Applicant must possess a valid State driver’s license.
ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:
Education:
One additional year of the required experience may substitute for 30 semester hours of the required education, with a maximum substitution of 60 semester hours.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or closely related field;
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher.
Experience:
Six years working in a marketing department or as an account manager for an ad agency;
Experience in project management;
Experience in copywriting for email, social media, online and print;
Experience in developing and overseeing promotional partnerships;
Experience in developing online advertising and tracking and analyzing results;
Experience in Google Analytics;
Experience using Facebook Manager.
