"We are seeking a Travel RN - MedSurg/Telemetry for a 13-weeks travel/contract assignment in Rochester, New York 14626."
Job Details:
- Shift: 12hr Nights; 7PM - 7AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2016 $2160
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in MedSurg, Telemetry units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and telemetry monitoring.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, post-discharge care, and treatment plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
- Float to similar units as required. If assigned to ICU or ED, responsibilities will be limited to MedSurg-level patients or assisting staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in New York State.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience (will consider candidates with at least 1 year of experience).
- BLS certification (Required).
- MSTELE certification (Preferred).
- Epic EMR experience (Preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
