Job Title: Tree Crew Supervisor
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tree Crew Supervisor with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the tree care industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and oversee tree removal and maintenance projects from start to finish, with minimal oversight. The supervisor will ensure the safety and efficiency of the worksite, manage the crew, interact with customers, and perform various tree care tasks with expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Jobsite Management: Take full responsibility for the jobsite, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks from start to finish with little to no oversight.
- Crew Supervision: Delegate tasks effectively to crew members, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers, providing updates and addressing any concerns throughout the job.
- Worksite Safety: Identify and correct any unsafe work situations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including wood chippers, tracked lifts, and other machinery relevant to tree care operations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
- Roping and Rigging: Utilize advanced roping and rigging techniques for tree removals and other tasks, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely pull and back up trucks and trailers, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and transport of equipment and materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in tree care or arborist-related work.
- Proven ability to manage and lead a tree crew, ensuring high-quality performance and safety.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including wood chippers, tracked lifts, and other tree care machinery.
- Strong knowledge of roping and rigging techniques.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions on the jobsite with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and ability to pull and back up trucks with trailers.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and ability to recognize and mitigate unsafe work conditions.
- Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and ensure readiness for work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in arboriculture, such as ISA Certified Arborist, or equivalent credentials.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Job sites will vary, including residential, commercial, and municipal properties.
- Safety gear and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times on the jobsite.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
