Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective conflict management skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. The Security Officer will utilize surveillance equipment and enforce security protocols to protect property and ensure compliance with regulations.
(You will be on your feet for 8-9 Hours)
Duties
- Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering CPR and first aid when necessary.
- Document incidents accurately in reports for further investigation or review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
- Conduct security checks on facilities, ensuring all access points are secure.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is advantageous.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
