Unit Director - Housing Empowering Recovery from Opioids (HERO)- $24.77/Hr

FT 40 Hr/wk Unit Director position to provide leadership, supervision, and direction to a program that strives to provide people with life-changing support needed to succeed in housing and give them the tools to live a healthy life with greater opportunity for recovery by connecting people with a safe, stable place to live. This position requires running reports and entering data into EHR to ensure compliance with agency contracts, meeting documentation standards and ensuring quality services are provided. Facilitate team meetings, attend statewide meetings, manage program budget and collect and disseminate statistical reports as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure program activities, goals and communication are in compliance with agency standards
- Recruit, lead, and develop designated coordinator(s), and direct care staff.
- Provide direction, assistance, and approval to coordinators and direct care staff for major crisis intervention in consultation with clinicians
- Conduct program admission
- Ensure the initial IRP is completed within 30 days
- Ensure assessments (IRP/Crisis plan) are completed and provide program approval for admissions, discharges in collaboration with clinicians, program coordinator or service coordinators
- Designate staff assignments for program participants in conjunction with program coordinator.
- Ensure data is entered into HMIS by either Director or Program Coordinator by due dates as per program contract requirements
- Attend Agency Intake meeting or designate program coordinator that can make a final decision. The service director also may attend.
- Attend team meeting in collaboration with clinicians
- Provide input for budget and manage Program within budget guidelines.
- Provide required reporting for funding purposes.
- Assure coordination of services among designated programs, other Reliance Health Programs, and community programs.
- Implement policies, procedures, and program evaluation for designated programs.
- Identify programmatic and resource needs to support program expansion
- Monitor Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement for service area.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or equivalent work experience in the provision of mental health/disabilities preferred
- Work experience in the provision of mental health services preferred
- Supervision experience preferred
- Eligible for DDS medication certification
- Valid CT Driver’s License, vehicle registration, and insurance
- Good driving record
