DOKO Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary hospital located in Blythewood, SC. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team! We are a full service hospital that offers high quality medical and surgical care. We value a cohesive and friendly work environment, and strive to take excellent care of our family of employees.
We are looking for a technician or assistant that will be responsible for assisting our veterinarians as they care for patients. Veterinary technicians or assistants will be expected to assist with patient examinations, collect blood, stool, and urine samples, update the electronic medical record, fill medications, communicate effectively with clients, take radiographs, assist with dental / surgical cases, monitor patients vitals under anesthesia, place IV catheters, and monitor and medicate hospitalized patients. Experience in a veterinary practice is required.
Veterinary Technician / Assistant Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience is required
- Experience monitoring patients under anesthesia is required
- Available to work from Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and rotating Saturdays for on call patients if needed.
- Able to lift 45 pounds
- Self-motivated
- Computer literate

- High school diploma or equivalent
