Brook-Ellis Pet Hospital is looking to add a tech assistant to our dynamic team. We are a small, family owned practice that see dogs, cats, exotics, and reptiles. We are a close knit team that love working with animals, our clients, and most importantly each other.
Technical Skills:
- Generate charges appropriately in Shepherd software for exams and general vet visits
- Run CBC/Chemistry/T4 on in-house laboratory
- Perform 4DX, FeLV/FIV, HWT, CPL, Parvo tests
- Efficiently prepare blood samples for outside labs
- Administer SQ fluids
- Clean surgical equipment, prepare a surgical pack/gown
- Run the autoclave
- Put together and put on an E-collar and onesie
- Properly restrain a well behaved pet for blood draw or medical procedure and know basic procedures to reduce stress of the pet
- Prepare fecal floats, ear cytology, skin scrapes, urinalysis and FNA samples
- Fill medications appropriately
Duties:
- Assisting technicians with the above listed duties.
- Kennel duties i.e. clean cages, laundry, general hospital cleaning
