We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor animal health and behavior, providing necessary care and support.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately during examinations and procedures.
- Assist with dental cleanings and procedures, utilizing knowledge of dental terminology.
- Support equine care when needed, demonstrating knowledge of horse handling.
- Participate in emergency veterinary critical care situations as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal husbandry or veterinary settings is preferred.
- Strong skills in animal handling with a focus on safety and compassion.
- Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary practices.
- Knowledge of pet care best practices, including nutrition and training techniques.
- Experience with animal catheterization is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
