The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in defining product specifications, leading business partner engagements, managing expectations, and owning the project timelines for our investment risk management platform.
The Expertise You Bring:
Product Specification: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define detailed product specifications that align with business goals and regulatory standards.
Business Partner Engagement: Lead engagements with business partners, including portfolio managers, risk analysts, and compliance teams, to ensure their needs are met and foster strong working relationships.
Expectation Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations, provide regular updates, and address any concerns or changes in project scope.
Project Management: Own the project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed on schedule. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations.
Risk Management: Understand and incorporate risk management principles into the product design and development process to ensure the platform meets the highest standards of risk control.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, ensuring the platform is built using best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
The Skills You Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, preferably in the financial services industry with a focus on risk management. Strong aptitude for quantitative finance, statistics, probabilistic risk and associated concepts and believe in the key role technology can play in helping asset managers outperform.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes, risk management principles, and financial markets. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
The Team
Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides technology solutions and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions globally. The Quantitative Research & Investing Technology team is a dynamic, high-impact environment that offers opportunities to work on complex and innovative risk management systems and opportunities to shape the future of Fidelity’s Multi-Asset Class Risk Platform and influence key decisions at the intersection of technology and asset management.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$219,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
