Eagle Home Health is seeking a highly motivated and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Virtual Medical Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our patients and their families. This is a virtual/remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch customer service to our patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals via phone, email, and online chat
- Assist with inquiries and concerns, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and general questions about our services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record system
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient resolution of customer issues
- Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards all customers, even in difficult situations
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in the customer service process and suggest solutions
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health record systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must have a dedicated workspace with a reliable computer and high-speed internet connection
