Summary: Colorado Mesa University's Center for Teacher Education invites applications for a full-time, Instructor of Teacher Education. The person in this position will teach both undergraduate and graduate course work in an educator preparation program. As part of the standard teaching load, two of the semester credit hours are allocated to coordinate leadership programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Teach graduate leadership courses and undergraduate pedagogy courses.
- Coordinate and supervise leadership programs and candidates.
- Perform student advising duties and service contributions.
- Contribute professionally to the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Center for Teacher Education.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with nearby school districts as well as recruit candidates for graduate programs in leadership.
- Summer teaching may be required.
- The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester; some assigned courses may be taught on-line, hybrid, or via distance delivery modalities. Advising and service to the department and profession are expected.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Doctorate in Education Leadership or a closely related field (ABD considered with a completion date no later than December, 2025).
- Principal or building administrator experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least three years (full-time) teaching.
- Post-Secondary Teaching Experience.
