We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Vocal Music Teacher to join our educational team at Monmouth Music Academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching children and adults. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, fostering a love for music, and contributing to their overall development. The Music Teacher will work with students of various ages, including preschoolers and those with special education needs.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the varying skill levels of students.
- Teach music theory, vocal techniques, and instrumental skills in an engaging manner.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression through music.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Organize performances and events that showcase student talent and promote community involvement.
- Maintain classroom organization and manage resources effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly in preschool or early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in at least two musical instruments or vocal performance. Those teaching instruments must be proficient in both guitar and piano minimally.
- Strong lesson planning skills with the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
