The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and driven VP of Marketing and Demand Generation professional to lead the marketing team and provide strategic marketing programs that generate pipeline, expand our reach, and convert high-value accounts. This role is critical to marketing and branding our products with a key focus on demand generation to accelerate our growth and focus heavily on integrated campaigns, content mapping, event strategy, and optimizing the digital buyer journey for lead generation and conversion.
You will be responsible for managing the marketing team which currently consists of (2) product marketing leaders, (1) marketing director, (1) digital marketing manager, and (1) partner marketing enablement leader.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company goals and revenue targets.
Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team across demand generation, product marketing, content, digital, and communications.
Collaborate with executive leadership to shape company positioning, go-to-market strategy, and customer experience.
Demand Generation & Growth
Own the marketing funnel and pipeline contribution, partnering closely with Sales and Inside Sales.
Drive multi-channel campaigns (digital, ABM, events, email, SEO/SEM, social) to generate qualified leads and accelerate deal velocity.
Optimize marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools to measure and improve performance.
Product & Content Marketing
Lead product marketing efforts including messaging, positioning, competitive analysis, and sales enablement.
Oversee content strategy to support thought leadership, lead nurturing, and customer education.
Brand & Communications
Elevate the company’s brand presence through PR, analyst relations, and strategic partnerships.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and customer touch points.
Customer Marketing
Develop programs to increase customer retention, advocacy, and expansion.
Leverage customer insights and feedback to inform product and marketing strategies
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in B2B software.
Knowledge of enterprise storage and/or data protection market. Knowledge of AI technology.
Proven track record of building and scaling marketing teams and programs that drive revenue.
Deep understanding of the B2B buyer journey, sales cycles, and marketing technologies.
Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
