Job Summary
Worthley's Home Appliance is a family-owned and operated small business. We are seeking a temporary summer warehousr helper to join our team. The person in this role will be responsible for various warehouse tasks, including inventory control, trash management, light cleaning and groundskeeping. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in hot and sometimes wet conditions, the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. Reliability and dependability is crucial in this role. This is a summer job. Students are encouraged to apply.
Hours
7:30 - 3:30 Monday through Friday, overtime and weekend work may be available
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
- Operate a pallet jack , pallet lift, hand trucks and dollies.
- Accurately prepare products for delivery.
- Assist with delivery and installation of home appliances.
- Assist in inventory control by tracking stock levels and conducting regular counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Manage disposal of packing materials and scrap appliances.
- Light exterior groundskeeping and interior cleaning.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in hot and/or wet conditions, lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
