The Warehouse Lead receives, stores, and distributes all food products and supplies for the ANS kitchen and off-

site locations. Maintains food and supply storage areas in accordance with agency procedures and established

sanitation standards. Organizes freezers, coolers, and dry storage areas daily to support the efficient production

and distribution of food and non-food items. Assists with the maintenance and organization of inventory systems

and controls. Trained and provides support to City Harvest operations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Is Direct Point of Contact for all delivery drivers arriving to ANS. Receives all food and supply deliveries for

ANS and verifies the quantity, pack size, and quality of all items received against purchase orders and

delivery documentation.

· Ensures proper storage and rotation of all food and supply inventory. Accurately dates and labels

perishable and TEFAP products, stores items in accordance with established guidelines, and follows FIFO

(First In, First Out) inventory management practices.

· Safely operates warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, and promptly reports any

maintenance or safety concerns with equipment or building maintenance to the City Harvest and

Warehouse Manager

· Maintains agency standards for cleanliness, safety, security, and organization throughout warehouse,

refrigeration, freezer, and storage areas.

· Processes requisition requests, accurately fills orders, and prepares products for delivery to kitchen

operations, off-site locations, or any other VOAC operational needs.

· Support and communicate with staff, vendors, and off-site locations directly and regularly concerning

supply needs and orders. Responds to all emails and voicemails professionally and promptly

· Receives and inspects returned unused products from kitchen operations and ensures proper restocking

in the appropriate storage locations.

· Assists with monthly physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation for all kitchen departments.

· Inform City Harvest and Warehouse manager of any food product that is nearing expiration date so the

appropriate program can be notified, and product can be processed accordingly.

· Rotate, reorganize, unload coolers and freezers regularly to ensure storage efficiency and compliance

· Attends and actively participates in required agency meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. ·

Manages pallet storage and organization within the warehouse and VOAC garage, while assisting with the organization of materials and supplies for other programs housed in the VOAC garage.

· Trained and able to cover City Harvest as needed

· Assists with pickups and storage of ANS supply needs for VOAC operations

· Support City Harvest and Nutrition warehouse operations and other Aging and Nutrition Services activities as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Frequent exposure to high heat, cold, and fumes in refrigeration, freezer, and kitchen environments.

· Requires frequent standing, walking, driving, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, twisting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive use of hands and arms throughout the workday.

· Push or pull loaded carts, containers, pallets, and manual pallet jacks carrying loads that may weigh up to one ton.

· May involve exposure to varying weather conditions, changing temperatures, warehouse noise, moving equipment, vehicle traffic, and other hazards commonly associated with warehouse and delivery operations.

· Occasional driving under all conditions, weather, traffic, urban, rural, etc

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Full time, non exempt, M-F 5 AM-1:30 PM unless otherwise specified.

Occasionally may be asked to shift hours to better accomplish program needs

Pay Rate: $23.03/hr
