Warehouse Picker
The role of a Warehouse Picker at Carlie C’s is a position that involves handling various responsibilities related to the efficient operation of the warehouse. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments of products.
- Sort, organize, and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of products.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging products for delivery.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and store management regarding any changes, delays, or issues.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards, all while following all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or delivery role is preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safe handling of products.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Work well with others, including fellow warehouse associates and store associates.
- Needs to be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Needs to be able to work in 30 degree temperature for up to 10-15 minutes at a time.
- Must be at least 18 years old
