Beam Distributing is hiring a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Shipping Associate to support both parcel and freight shipping operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate, on-time shipments while also contributing to picking, receiving, inventory, and general warehouse operations.
This role involves following customer-specific shipping requirements, coordinating inbound and outbound LTL/FTL freight, and helping improve warehouse efficiency. Experience with government shipments or freight scheduling is a strong plus.

What You’ll Do
As a Warehouse Shipping Associate at Beam Distributing, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate, on-time shipments and supporting all aspects of warehouse operations. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy, correct packaging, and on-time processing.
- Process both parcel and freight shipments (LTL/FTL) using ShipHawk and NetSuite, following all customer-specific shipping requirements.
- Create and manage shipping documentation, including BOLs, shipping labels, and carrier scheduling for outbound freight.
- Perform outbound quality control checks to confirm accuracy and condition of goods prior to shipment.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with LTL/FTL carriers, communicating with drivers and resolving shipping exceptions.
- Receive, inspect, and unload inbound shipments, verifying product counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with warehouse inventory operations, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and location audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe and responsible manner (training provided).
- Collaborate with your team to meet daily shipping and warehouse goals while contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in shipping workflows

- Prior experience with shipping software (ShipHawk, FedEx, UPS) is a plus
- Knowledge of freight scheduling, BOLs, and LTL/FTL coordination is a strong bonus
- Familiarity with WMS software, such as NetSuite WMS (preferred but not required)
- Forklift experience or certification (preferred but not required)
