Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution center. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling, order picking, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for utilizing warehouse management systems and operating equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
Duties
- Perform materials handling tasks, including receiving, storing, and distributing products within the warehouse.
- Execute order picking processes accurately and efficiently to fulfill customer orders.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and updating the warehouse management system.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting items.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks within the warehouse environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts or order pickers is advantageous.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Understanding of OSHA standards related to warehouse operations is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job duties.
