Scope of Position:
The Website Developer Manager at HLM is responsible for providing leadership to the Web/Dev team, consisting of Front End Developers, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support teammates.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Management
- Develop and deploy strategy for Web Project Management team and Design team.
- Manage the Web Dev Customer Support Team, including the management of billing, client response processes and client communications representing HLM.
- Support the maintenance and development of the Dev/Ops infrastructure.
- Manage the Front-End development team to include monitoring delivery, workload management and quality of deliverables.
- Measure team capacity and delivery and the use of freelance developers when needed.
- Align with the sales team to monitor current sales trends, capture feedback on issues, review ongoing scope, update strategies, team capabilities, and capacity
- Lead training initiatives for new devs and manage ongoing team training
- Lead sales initiatives and opportunities with the PM and Web Support teams
- Work directly to resolve client issues; including damage control, finding solutions, and retention
- Lead weekly Delivery L10 meetings to ensure alignment across departments
Profitability
- Monitor WDDS COGS and identify opportunities to reduce operating expenses
- Prepare and submit payroll for web teams; including team commission and OTE workbooks
- Department P&L quarterly; including revenue, COGS, expenses, marketing cost, and net income
Measurement
- Weekly & Monthly WDDS billing audit; including an audit of Intacct billing for proposals, orders, hosting and removing churned customers
- Bi-Weekly & Monthly hosting audit; including current hosting clients/rates to Intacct, invoice delivery, and report monthly hosting total, net new client hosting, and churn rate Report department performance and analytics in L10 meetings, discuss initiatives

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and other relevant web design coding languages.
- Create and test applications for websites.
- Collaborate internally with development teams and externally with supporting departments.
- Develop and present design specs.
- Ability to work with graphics and other designers.
- Troubleshoot website problems, find solutions and document findings.
- Maintain and update websites and monitor website traffic.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development/Design, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in programming, web technologies, IT, and/or digital marketing. Experience in project management, technical oversight, or managing cross-functional teams is highly desirable.

Work Conditions: This position will perform duties under normal office working conditions, including the prolonged use of a computer, office equipment, and working in close proximity to others. Essential physical requirements may include standing, walking, stooping, typing, and lifting up to 25lbs.
