Summary
We are seeking a Wildlife Biologist to join our team at Central Southern Construction. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting scientific research and assessments related to wildlife populations in areas impacted by our construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with environmental regulations while promoting biodiversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and classify native tree species and local wildlife populations
- Conduct site surveys and prepare supporting documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and environmental consultants
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Accurately collect and report field data in a timely manner
- Communicate observations clearly and professionally to the project team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in forestry, environmental science, wildlife biology, or a related field
- ISA Certified Arborist designation preferred but not required
- Previous field experience in tree identification or wildlife surveying strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and in outdoor environments for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
