Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a Full-time Workers’ Compensation Liaison (In-person). The Workers Compensation Liaison acts as a liaison between injured employees and management, expertly navigating the complexities of legal and regulatory requirements. From coordinating medical treatment for injured workers, to representing the company during WC events. This role requires exceptional communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Purpose:
As a crucial member of our organization, this position holds immense importance in ensuring the successful management of workers' compensation claims and related processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate workers' compensation claims to determine eligibility and coverage
Collaborate with insurance carriers, medical providers, and attorneys to coordinate treatment plans and claim resolution
Maintain detailed records and documentation of claim activities, including medical reports, bills, and correspondence
Gather information on claim-related incidents, including interviews with injured employees and adjusters
Prepare and submit required forms, reports, and documentation to insurance carriers and regulatory agencies
Educate injured workers on their rights and responsibilities under workers' compensation laws
Stay current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations and communicate updates to the leadership team
Attend WC events on weekends and/or afterhours as needed
Education:
Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Required: Associate’s degree in related field
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Workers’ Compensation Liaison or related role.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a medical office setting.
