Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4:00pm MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change
Position Responsibilities of the Workers Compensation Specialist:
- Collect and analyze compensation data to ensure competitive pay practices within the organization.
- Administer and manage employee compensation programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and incentives.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to FMLA, workers' compensation, and other relevant laws
- Utilize systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Paylocity, Dayforce, and Lawson for data management and reporting
- Assist in the development of job descriptions and salary grades for new positions or changes in existing roles.
- Collaborate with HR team members to support contract negotiations and employee relations matters related to compensation.
- Prepare reports for management that summarize findings from data analysis regarding compensation trends and practices
Requirements of the Workers Compensation Specialist:
- Proven experience in a compensation role or related field is preferred.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with FMLA regulations and workers' compensation processes is a plus.
- Proficient in using HRIS systems such as Paylocity
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications of the Construction Admin:
- Administrative/Clerical Experience required
- 5+ years Private Sector Workers Compensation Experience required
- Microsoft Office Experience, specifically with Excel required
- Must have a High School Degree or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must adhere to company screenings
- Must have valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to adhere to large amounts of sitting
- Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate
