Who We Are
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. We're building one place where your knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, so work is faster, clearer, and less fragmented. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion.
Notinos (our employees) are customer zero in bringing this future of work to life. We care about craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work is still fundamentally human. Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature. Each and every team of Notinos is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era. From building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents to automating away the busy work, we care deeply about giving our customers more time for their life’s work.
About The Role
We're looking to hire a new Talent Sourcer in Tokyo to build top-of-funnel talent pipelines and shape talent strategy across our Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. In this role, you'll partner with regional leadership to fill critical GTM roles like Solutions Consultants and Outcomes Architects primarily in Japan.
What You'll Do
- You'll manage the sourcing process from inception through successful close, ensuring an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers at every step
- You'll serve as a strategic advisor and talent sourcing expert, leading successful searches across GTM roles
- You'll conduct initial qualification screenings and casual chats with candidates to assess fit and build relationships
- You'll collaborate with the broader team on process improvements, programs, and strategic initiatives
- You'll lead talent branding initiatives, including organizing hiring webinars and publishing blogs and articles that feature our employees
- You'll provide talent mapping and market insights to support local and global recruiting and hiring teams
- You'll make informed data-driven decisions that build efficiencies into the sourcing process
- You'll find creative and unconventional ways to help us build a diverse top-of-funnel for GTM roles across all levels
- You'll help build and manage partnerships to bring more underrepresented talent to Notion
- You'll advance our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (I.D.E.A) strategy, working to build more diverse and inclusive teams
What You'll Achieve:
- Manage sourcing for multiple complex and evergreen searches, creating innovative strategies and engagement to bring the best and most diverse talent to Notion
- Help develop and execute comprehensive sourcing plans, analyzing role requirements to define target profiles and identify qualified candidates
- Partner closely with other members of the Recruiting team to ensure we hit our hiring targets without sacrificing quality
- Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers throughout the recruiting process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goals
- Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders
Skills and Toolset You'll Need to Bring:
- At least 3 years of experience in talent sourcing or recruitment, whether in-house or agency, or relevant transferable skills from related fields
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools, with skills in Boolean and AI-powered searches (or eagerness to learn these tools)
- Persistence, consistency, and attention to detail - if we hire one person out of 200 candidates, you'd ensure the other 199 have a great experience. You care deeply about your craft.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. You are self-motivated and committed to excellence
- You are kind, warm, and thoughtful - you'll represent the company when you interact with thousands of candidates each year
- You'll contribute across the full scope of recruiting operations, from maintaining our ATS database and finding new ways to source candidates to analyzing data to improve recruiting efficiency and managing sourcing channels
- Fluency in Japanese and business-level English
A Note on AI
You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement — when that’s the case, we'll say so explicitly in the qualifications. People who thrive here don’t treat AI as a novelty. They use it to think better, and make their work easier for others to build on.

Notion is the connected workspace where better, faster work happens. Our story Early computing pioneers envisioned a future where machines on our desks could amplify our imagination, extend our intellect, and help us model information in ways never before seen. This is the type of tool we want to build together at Notion — one that gives you the software you can mold and shape like clay to solve your problems your way. We’ve heard Notion described many ways. It can be as simple as a blank piece of paper, making writing feel light and delightful. It can be as complex as a relational database that stores huge amounts of data. We sometimes compare it to a set of Legos (if Legos were designed by The New York Times). But at its core, Notion is a toolbox of software building blocks that let you manage your life and work however you find most useful. To make this possible, we’ve brought together a diverse team of individuals passionate about computing, history, art, alternative programming languages, music, skateboarding, and craft. Today, we’re growing faster than ever across offices in San Francisco, New York, Dublin, Hyderabad and Tokyo 🇺🇸 🇮🇪 🇮🇳 🇯🇵 Our values We are drivers of our mission. We’re driven by our commitment to empower every person on the planet to use software exactly the way they want. Be a pace setter. We move with urgency so we can set the cadence for our market, cover more ground, and ship more great products and programs for our users, faster. Be a truth seeker. We pursue the best data, ideas, and solutions with rigor and open-mindedness, always guided by our users’ most pressing needs. Be kind and direct. We deliver feedback in the spirit of helping our colleagues improve, balancing sensitivity with caring honesty. We’re in this together.
