Sales Finance Analyst
Reports To: Sales & Operation Finance Business Partner
Location: Seoul, South Korea
Summary
Our mission to positively impact people's lives every day in every home around the world allows our employees to be thinkers and tinkerers, designers and doers, creators and number crunchers, makers of things they love.
SharkNinja APAC is rapidly expanding our business, driven by strong innovation and unprecedented growth over the past 5 years. As we continue to scale, we seek a Sales Finance Analyst to join our business in South Korea. This role strengthens the commercial finance framework through accurate sales forecasting, disciplined trade spend management and clear performance analysis, providing the insight behind pricing, promotion and investment decisions.
PositionOverview
The Sales Finance Analyst is the financial control point over the sales forecast and performance — testing whether the prices, assumptions and channel strategies behind the numbers hold up, and explaining the drivers behind reported results — and owns trade spend control and channel profitability analysis. The Analyst owns the numbers, the analysis behind them and the routines that produce them, while the Sales & Operation Finance Business Partner owns methodology, approval and the leadership conversation. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing market where processes are still being built.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
Sales & Commercial
- Review and challenge the monthly sales forecast submitted by the Sales team, validating invoice price, discount basis and gross-to-net by channel and SKU against the price master and agreed customer terms, and escalate material gaps to the Business Partner
- Test volume, ASP and trade spend assumptions against recent actuals, and ensure each channel's plan is consistent with its agreed commercial strategy.
- Prepare the forecast upload into EPM, working with Demand Planning to align the financial and demand views.
- Own the validation of trade spend claimed by customers and distributors, ensure it is reflected correctly by channel and SKU in EPM, and prepare disputed items with supporting evidence.
- Prepare the monthly trade spend accrual and actualization based on sell-in, sell-out and channel inventory, and monitor promotional depth and invoice price accuracy.
- Prepare the monthly channel P&L and gross margin review, explaining actual versus forecast by volume, price / mix and trade spend.
- Build P&L simulations and ROI analysis for proposed price changes, promotions and trade investments to support commercial recommendations.
- Automate recurring reporting, and progressively take direct business partnering ownership of assigned channels.
Operations
- Prepare accruals and actualization for warehousing, storage, delivery and aftersales costs, tracking them against budget and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze cost drivers across logistics and aftersales services, flagging risks and identifying optimization opportunities with Operations stakeholders.
- Develop reporting tools and dashboards for visibility into operational costs and KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, and minimum 3 years in FP&A or commercial finance; FMCG, consumer electronics or retail background preferred.
- Solid grasp of P&L structure — gross-to-net, trade spend, COGS, gross margin — and accrual accounting.
- Strong reconciliation and variance analysis skills, tracing differences to root cause.
- Commercial curiosity and confidence to challenge assumptions, not simply record them.
- Advanced Excel; Power Query, Power BI or SQL a plus. Oracle Fusion / EPM preferred.
- Hands-on self-starter, deadline-driven. Business-level English and fluency in Korean.
