Job Overview

The Sales Engineer / Assistant Sales Engineer will drive new business and sales growth in the ready-mix concrete sector by developing customer relationships, identifying project opportunities, and converting enquiries into sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the ready-mix concrete sector.
• Follow up on construction projects and develop relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, and construction companies.
• Manage existing accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
• Conduct customer, project, and site visits to understand requirements.
• Provide technical and commercial advice on concrete solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate, and convert enquiries into sales.
• Monitor project pipelines, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Finance for smooth order execution.
• Achieve sales targets and ensure high-quality customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Sc. / NDT / HND in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ready-mix concrete, cement, construction, building materials, or technical/B2B sales.
• Project sales experience and contacts within the construction industry are an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, networking, and business development skills.
• Target-oriented and commercially driven.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and sales reporting.
• Willingness to travel for customer and project visits.
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
