Join our team as Director of Finance at Susurros del Corazon, reporting directly to the General Manager, and become one of the authors of our story. You will be responsible for driving strong financial performance at the hotel and residences while enhancing owner relationships. We look to the person in this position to deliver superior financial performance, ensure operational efficiencies, implement effective financial controls, and implement practical and effective policies and procedures.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our talents always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-members.. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Lead the financial input into the formulation and implementation of the Hotel and Residences Strategic Plan and Budget, and any other key strategic planning exercises.
  • Maximize cash flow performance of both the hotel and residences.
  • Establish adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets.
  • Deal honestly and fairly with clients, customers, suppliers, and financial partners. Our reputation and long-term success depend on establishing mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial information and provide analysis interpretations and projections.
  • Take responsibility for the professional development of all staff. This includes identifying training needs and supporting the funding of necessary training.
  • Maintain an awareness of and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in Mexico.
  • Ensure safe and proper storage and access for all contracts, leases, and other financial records.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with all of the operations, guiding and mentoring them as financial stewards of our business.
  • Financial, legal, and tax management of a homeowners’ association (HOA). Experience preparing and monitoring budgets, maintenance fees, collections, reserve funds, cash flow, and financial statements.
  • Financial management of residential and real estate projects. Experience overseeing the financial aspects of residential sales, real estate projects, or condominium developments, including budgets, revenue and cash flow forecasts, cost control, profitability analysis, and coordination with the sales, legal, and tax teams through the sale and handover of units.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a property finance leader with residential finance operations leadership preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of the Uniform System of Accounts.
  • Deep experience with hotel financial reporting systems, policies and procedures, and management agreements.
  • Experience with operating and financial agreements; successfully evaluated risks and developed proactive strategies and plans to mitigate business issues.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take large volumes of complex information and present clearly and concisely to senior management and owners.
  • Spanish & English language competency.
