Procurement Manager (Shipping line)

• Lead procurement activities for Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines, ensuring alignment with company strategies.

• Support procurement leads in Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia to drive regional procurement consistency.

• Schedule regular supplier review meetings with high-spend vendors to assess performance and identify improvement areas.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost reduction and improve operational efficiency.

• Prepare, review, and maintain contract templates for Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines, ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Track contract lifecycles, including renewals and expirations, to prevent service disruptions and ensure timely contract renegotiations.

• Monitor vendor performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for depots, truckers, feeders,and terminals.

• Assist functional teams with Supplier Performance Evaluations

• Implement corrective actions for underperforming suppliers and drive continuous improvement initiatives along with Functional Managers

• Generate performance reports on supplier KPIs for management review and decision-making.

• Ensure procurement activities adhere to sustainability goals, driving environmentally friendly and socially responsible supplier practices

• Provide assistance with additional Tasks with our Operations Steering Support Team

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations, preferably within the shipping liner or logistics industry

• Proven ability to prepare, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with local regulations and mitigating risks for the organization

• Experience in developing and tracking supplier performance metrics (KPIs) related to cost, service quality, and efficiency, specifically for logistics providers like depots, truckers, feeders, and terminals

• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft application i.e., excel, power point

• SAP knowledge preferable
