About the Role
As a Procurement and Logistics Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring an efficient and cost-effective procurement and logistics function across Cambi's projects and business operations, delivering commercial value through effective sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations. You will manage hands-on procurement activities from sourcing and supplier negotiations through to contract award, purchase orders, logistics and delivery, including coordination of customs and tax clearances. You will also supports the development of procurement strategy, supplier performance and collaboration with the UK procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for projects, including RFQs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders and contract award.
- Execute the procurement of goods and services in line with company procedures, project requirements and procurement best practice.
- Act as the primary procurement contact for internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, framework agreements and commercial contracts to achieve best value.
- Manage supplier performance, deliveries, documentation, contract compliance and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate international logistics with suppliers, freight forwarders and project teams, including shipment planning, transport bookings, shipping documentation and delivery tracking.
- Coordinate customs and tax clearances, import/export documentation and related duty and VAT matters with Finance, customs brokers and external advisers; follow up outstanding requirements and escalate specialist questions.
- Lead the development and implementation of Cambi's procurement strategy, including supplier selection, sourcing and cost optimisation.
- Monitor procurement and logistics costs, budgets, risks and KPIs to support effective project delivery.
- Maintain procurement documentation and contract records in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Collaborate with the UK procurement team to align procurement processes, supplier strategies and commercial terms.
- Promote sustainable, secure and resilient sourcing practices.

Key qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration, Industrial Economics and Technology Management, Engineering Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline. Relevant practical experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
- Relevant hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain and logistics, ideally in a project-based industrial environment.
- Practical experience with purchasing, supplier follow-up and commercial negotiations.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, including contract and cost management.
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working in a multinational organisation is an advantage.
