Key Responsibilities

Protect the integrity of the hotel building, plant and equipment through general, routine and preventative maintenance across mechanical/HVAC, fire, electrical, hydraulics and other building services.

Maintain the Building Warrant of Fitness and Compliance Schedules to the applicable AS/NZ Standards, ahead of the annual anniversary.

Keep fire alarm and detection systems, hydrants, sprinklers and other essential services operational, connected and free of isolation at all times.

Manage maintenance contractors through myBuildings, including work requests, purchase orders and KPI reviews, so works are completed safely and to a high standard.

Manage Repairs and Maintenance expenditure against the annual budget, and review utility results such as water, electricity and gas to reduce wastage.

Lead the maintenance team and contribute to the WHS committee, emergency and evacuation procedures, and hazard and incident reporting.

What You'll Bring

Experience leading maintenance or engineering for a building, including hands-on work and delegating to in-house staff and contractors

Working knowledge of building services across mechanical/HVAC, fire, electrical and hydraulics

Knowledge of BWOF and compliance schedules, AS/NZ Standards, WHS requirements and the Building Act 2004

Confidence managing budgets, purchase orders and contractor performance

Skill in rostering, training and developing maintenance and hotel duty personnel

Availability to be on call for after hours call outs
